I heard a melody for the ages
Yeah it took me to another place
Salt in the air and rusty old cages
Feel the cold of winter on my face
So much to think about in a new way
Gotta let the feeling happen now
I’ll keep forever what I had on that day
And it really doesn’t matter how
Lay in the bed closing your eyes
Just float away till the sunrise
I’ve had a memory for a long time
And it never seems to go away
When I had a new world that was all mine
I can see it on a film today
Take me forever now to the ocean
Where the castles rise above the sand
On the horizon and in motion
Maybe one day I might understand

Radio Noise

I must seem illuminated
Been all around this situation
It comes right down to human nature
Eventually, we’ll meet our maker
Been watching my computer screen
And hearing what I can’t believe
They’re in Earth space now
Radio noise
Dreams of joy
With so much promise
They’ve made their choice
For many years the stories told us
What we all knew was in the forest
Ebb and flowing through our history
Through the clouds their beams of mystery
Maybe we can send a message
And promise that we learned our lesson
Radio noise
Dreams of joy
From my horizons
Their ships deploy

Emily shines like a rain soaked soul
in a backward town Okeechobee road
It took her twenty five just to get this far
With a dirty little secret in her big back yard
Bobby swore he’d never tell a soul about it
When the case went cold with a laugh he shouted
The sheriff would fly in his 4-wheel drive
Over the sawgrass stink and the peering eyes
Them nosey alligators always getting the sun
It’s like a cottonmouth fear when you’re on the run
Big survey dudes with the tats so smooth
Showin’ up from the city with their fancy tools
We gonna get a sweet freeway comin’ through
We gonna dig that backyard into view
Bobby goes down to the corner store
To find that Emily had quit and headed out the door
Emily come home
Don’t want to be alone
Them dogs’ll find their bones
Take me where you’ve gone
Take it back now seven years ago
When a greenhorn deputy was all alone
Daddy told Jimmy ‘bout the white trash girl
With the big blue eyes and the trust fund pearls
So Emily woke to a five pound bag
In the guestroom chest that her grandpa had
She hurried on up and sent it down the drain
Before Jimmy came sniffin’ with the police train
About two weeks more on an August day
When you could fry an egg up on her Chevrolet
Yeah Emily saw ole’ Jimmy now
He was punchin’ up Bobby on the edge of town
She put a .44 bullet through Jimmy’s head
As the sun went down and the sawgrass bled
They took that deputy and laid him down
In a six foot hole in a nasty town
Daddy never found his white trash boy
He gonna keep on sniffin’ till the Lord brings joy

I want to go to The Moon
05:41
|

I want to go to The Moon
To the grey dust, the craters and dunes
To the Sea of Tranquility
I want to go to The Moon
I want to go there with you
Under shooting star skies
So far away from oceans blue
Look out the window to an alternate view
Let’s climb a mountain today
From the top we can see all the way
From dawn till the end of days
I want to go to The Moon
To a quiet horizon in tune
I’ll miss those blue skies
So far away from oceans blue
Look out the window to an alternate view
It’s beautiful

Planets of Grace Florida
Planets of Grace is the musical brainchild of Ignacio Hernandez. A psychedelic blend of sounds created the old fashioned way. When swirling, fuzzy guitars blend with explosive drums and a fat bass, you have to stick your head through that door and let the river take you where it will. ... more
